Hello and welcome to the Brossac Braderie a new concept in online Brocanting and online Vide Greniers. Brocantes is the French word for a Yard Sale, a Car boot sale or what we knew as a second hand shop. There are other such phrases such as flea market or garage sale but the word that all know in France is that of Brocante.
In France you can find a Brocantes all over France it could be a shop, or depot, which is well established in the community or maybe it is a planned annual event for the village or town. Whereby hundreds of exhibitors, or exposants in French, arrive in one pre designated place to exhibited their goods and wares. The designated place could be a car park, a field, alongside a river or a football stadium. Normally such events are organised by the committee de fetes of the town or village.
Every weekend there will be an organised event labelled Brocante or Vide Grenier somewhere in France. There are numerous websites where you can find information and an agenda of these events, there is also a book you can purchase from your local Tabac or Kiosque à journaux.
