A French language book of poetry by Alphonse de Lamartine.  Considered one of the finest of France’s leading poets, Lamartine wrote “Nouvelles Méditations Poétiques” in the early 1820’s. Including his other works, he has an entire collection of elegiac poetry characterized by numerous mythological allusions and his own tone.
